Big L really needs no introduction to the heads that visit this blog I'm sure. This is a session from when Stretch and Bobbito were doing Sunday nights on Hot 97 - year is 1998 I believe when he came out with the Size Em Up/Ebonics single. The verses on here can be heard elsewhere but I included some of the banter before the session with Stretch, Bob, and Sear cutting up which I always enjoyed on the tapes. He raps over Pete Rock's "Tru Master" here. I enjoyed hearing the same rhymes when it was done over hot beats, as long as the MC was as dope as L. This is The Big Sleep from Big L Rarities, Big L Online (and PhilaFlava). First off I just wanna say thanks for the extended show, it’s hugely appreciated. But I have to ask, do you have the full thing? Or if not, any other complete/extended shows with L? I’ve been looking for full shows with Big L and all I’ve come up with so far is the October 28th, ’93 Stretch & Bobbito show with him and NaS. Either way, mad props on this upload, I definitely need more rare extended cuts like this. Thanks again, peace.
